The table shows detailed information about the progress of the transcriptions done on the available material (19th. century marriages) for the Catholic and Lutheran parishes and Prussian civil registries which existed on the territory of Greater Poland.

For Catholic parishes, the background is violet, for Lutheran communities it is blue, and it is yellow for civil registries. They are also marked in the "Type" column by "K"(atholic), "E"(vangelical) and "S"(ivil) respectively (pun intended).

19th century German names of localities, whenever different from Polish equivalents, are given in brackets. Please note that many of them were only adopted at the very end of that period and earlier records would still have those towns listed with their previous spellings, in most cases much closer to or identical with their Polish names

Further columns show the years for which the marriages are available in the database and the number of records. Those who contributed to the transcription of a particular parish/registry are also listed, as well as the date when the respective material first entered the database (in the dd.mm.yyyy format). The last column provides additional information about special notations used in the numbering of marriages in a particular parish, changes in parish system (parishes created and dissolved) and the like.

By clicking the parish name you get a detailed description of records that exist for the respective town and what microfilms are available for them. This can also help you infer whether any material could still be indexed for the respective parish and added to the database. A green mark annotates parishes/towns for which, to the best knowledge of the coordinator, all the existent record have been included into our database.
